Outlast 1: Whistleblower Walkthrough

The Whistleblower level in Outlast 1's DLC takes you on a thrilling adventure through the dark and eerie Laboratory. From navigating narrow corridors to avoiding deadly traps, this walkthrough will guide you through every step of the way.

As soon as you gain control of Waylon, turn around and notice that the back side of the furnace has a hole in it. This small opening is your ticket to freedom, or at least, to progress further into the level. Head past the door and the saw guy will attack you, locking you inside one of the furnaces.

Don't worry, this setback won't stop you for long. Ignore the door on the left and keep walking towards the area with large furnaces. You'll soon come across a set of stairs that lead to the lower level of the Laboratory.

On your way down the stairs, take notice of the small gap in the wall and beam that runs throughout it. This may seem insignificant now, but trust me, you'll need it later on. For now, keep moving forward until you reach the storage room.

Inside the storage room, head towards the back and find a battery on top of the shelves. This will come in handy soon enough. Now, backtrack to the furnace and break through the wall to access the other side.

Once you're on the other side, follow the path until you see a door with light streaming out of it. Grab the folder behind the podium before proceeding further. You'll notice that there's a ladder on the right side of the furnace you burst out through. Head back out and climb the ladder to access the ceiling hole.

Now that you have your bearings, make your way back to the storage room and grab the battery. Use it to power up any electronic devices you may need later on. Finally, head towards the door with light streaming out of it and start punching the wall until it breaks.
